What are your dreams?
What are your goals?
I guess, most of the youngsters have huge goals dreams when they were in University.
To go out in the real world and make a name for themselves.
They are full of energy and in the pace of changing the world with their education knowledge.
They enter into the work force and soon themselves at the bottom of the ladder where they have to learn everything again.
There are some that will climb faster but most, will climb slow.
There will always be the silent competition among friends whenever there is gathering.
There are rare cases whereby friends will be happy for whatever small achievements that you may have at work.
That’s why, you see banks, pyramid marketing and sales companies creating their own award ceremony to “give recognition” to their employees.
I am not going to talk about company’s culture, not about the good the bad about such scheme.
I am here to talk about your goals.
Please remember, the goals, the targets, that lifelong dream that you had when you were in University.
That was usually the period before you step into real world.
Are you still on the process of that dream?
Or are you simply chasing what others deem to be “dream”?
Are there any changes to the dream?
Or, have you totally forgotten about your dream?
I clearly remember my dreams of building the business, having a family, to travel, to have a sport car, to write a book and I basically done it all within these twelve years.
I am of course, updating the dream.
Are you still dreaming about your dream?
Why don’t we work towards it now.
