What will you do if you only have a few months of life left?
We take for granted that there will be tomorrow, we will do it next week, leave it to next month.
What happened if you fallen ill?
In Asia, a lot of people in general are chasing the dream, of making it big.
A lot of Gen-X-Y are dreaming it big, hoping to score that next success start-up, flipping it and selling it for that next high profit.
We are taught to be successful and to aim for the longevity of the business whenever we start the ball.
But,
Nowadays, a lot of the GenX-Y are dreaming of overnight sensation.
That it is all right to be lossmaking as long as there are series B,C,D,E… funding along the way.
That is so wrong.
Rule of thumb. A business is only considered to be successful if it makes a profit and dazz pass the five-year mark.
The rise of Co-Working space does not help my point as well.
Gen-X-Y THINKS that businesses are run/operated just by doing coding and acting busy on their lap tops (with their huge headphones on).
Come on!
That’s not the way businesses should be.
We are taught in Business School to base our business on “Meeting Demand with Supply”.
It may seem cool to be a “Start-up” but it meant nothing if you can’t satisfy the wants and needs of people.
